Arsenal reportedly about to make ambitious hijack of deal for midfielder target
Arsenal will be looking to improve their squad in the January transfer window and a new report has revealed that the gunners are going to hijack a deal of one of their Premier League rivals.

Arsenal are reportedly ready to hijack Newcastle’s move for Ruben Neves in the upcoming January transfer window according to TalkSport. The Gunners’ sporting director Edu is known to be a long-term admirer of the former Wolves star, who is currently plying his trade at AL-HILAL in Saudi Arabia.
Neves, who scored six goals and provided one assist for Wolverhampton in the Premier League last season, has been on Newcastle’s radar as they look to bolster their midfield options. However, Arsenal are now set to throw their hat into the ring as they seek to add more quality to their squad.

The Gunners are currently in 3rd position on the Premier League table with 27 points in this 2023/24 campaign. Their recent game was a Premier League clash against Burnley at the Emirates Stadium, which ended 3-1 in favor of Mikel Arteta’s side. Their next game will be against Brentford at Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday 25th, Nov. 2023 after the international break.
Neves’ experience and quality could provide a significant boost to Arsenal’s midfield, and Edu is believed to be keen on securing his services in January. With competition for Neves’ signature heating up, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal can beat Newcastle to the punch and bring the Portuguese midfielder back to the Premier League.
