Brentford make a statement on Ivan Toney amid reports that he will join Arsenal

Brentford manager Thomas Frank has broken his silence on the future of star striker Ivan Toney, who has been linked with a potential move to Arsenal in the upcoming January transfer window. Toney, who scored 20 Premier League goals and made 4 assists last season, has been a key player for Brentford. However, he has not featured in the current campaign as he was banned from football until January 2024 after admitting to 232 breaches of Football Association betting rules.
Despite his absence this season, Toney’s future at Brentford remains uncertain as Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing the talented striker to boost their title challenge. The Gunners are currently in 3rd position on the Premier League table with 27 points after 12 matches in the league.
When asked about Toney’s future at Brentford, manager Thomas Frank expressed his desire for the striker to stay at the club. “He is happy at the club, I want him to stay. Ivan (Toney) is happy to stay. He’s happy at the club. What happens in the future is impossible to guess about,” Frank told the media.
It remains to be seen whether Toney will remain at Brentford or make a move to Arsenal in January. With both clubs vying for success in their respective campaigns, Toney’s future could have a significant impact on their fortunes moving forward.
