Arsenal’s right-back position may be left vacant in their upcoming match against Brentford, as Ben White is being assessed ahead of the game. The versatile defender missed the previous match against Burnley due to a muscle injury, and it seems his availability for the Brentford game is still uncertain.

Currently sitting in 3rd position on the Premier League table with 27 points, Arsenal has been enjoying a successful campaign in the 2023/24 season. Their recent game against Burnley at the Emirates Stadium resulted in a 3-1 victory for the Gunners, further solidifying their position near the top of the league.

However, injuries have been a concern for Arsenal this season, and the absence of key players has affected their performances on several occasions. Ben White, who has been a crucial part of Arsenal’s defensive line, was sidelined in the previous match against Burnley due to a muscle injury of his own.

White’s absence was felt during the Burnley game, as Arsenal’s defense seemed slightly vulnerable at times. His ability to read the game, make crucial interceptions, and contribute to the team’s attacking play has made him an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s system.

As Arsenal prepares to face Brentford after the international break, the uncertainty surrounding White’s availability raises concerns for the team. The right-back position is crucial in Arteta’s tactical setup, as it requires a player who can provide defensive stability while also contributing to the team’s attacking movements.

In White’s absence, Arteta will need to find a suitable replacement who can fill the void effectively. The options available to him include Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Tomiyasu, who has been with Arsenal since 2011 , has shown versatility by playing in various positions across the backline. He possesses good defensive qualities and has the ability to contribute to the team’s attacking play.

Arsenal has shown resilience and adaptability throughout the season, and Arteta will surely have a plan in place to overcome this hurdle. The team’s depth and the quality of their squad will be put to the test as they aim to maintain their strong position in the league.

The match against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium will be a crucial one for Arsenal. Brentford has proven to be a competitive side this season, and they will undoubtedly pose a threat to Arsenal’s defensive line. It is essential for Arteta to find a solution to the right-back dilemma and ensure that the team remains solid defensively while maintaining their attacking prowess.

As Arsenal fans eagerly await updates on White’s fitness, they can take solace in the fact that the team has shown resilience in overcoming injury setbacks in the past. The Gunners have a talented squad capable of stepping up in crucial moments, and this will be another opportunity for players to showcase their abilities.

Regardless of who fills in at right-back, Arsenal will need to be at their best to secure a positive result against Brentford. The match will test their depth, adaptability, and ability to overcome adversity. As the Gunners strive to maintain their strong position in the Premier League, they will rely on the collective efforts of the entire squad to continue their successful campaign.
