Trossard reveals his thoughts on Arteta not playing him in one position
Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard has opened up about his preferred position on the pitch, stating that he is comfortable playing in various roles in the front line. Manager Mikel Arteta has utilized Trossard in different positions this season, including as a left winger, false nine, and attacking midfielder.
When asked about his best position, Trossard admitted that he doesn’t have a straightforward answer. He stated via Arsenal’s official website, “That’s a tough question. I don’t really mind playing all of those positions up top, to be fair. If it’s left winger, as a false nine, even as an attacking midfielder, I don’t really have a straight answer for that.”
The Belgian forward revealed that as a kid, he played as a number ten or as a striker. He emphasized his focus on being in the box and in good positions to score goals. Trossard believes that with the quality in Arsenal’s team, he needs to be in the right place at the right time to capitalize on opportunities.
Trossard’s versatility and goal-scoring instinct make him a valuable asset for Arsenal. As the team aims to challenge for the Premier League title, his ability to adapt to different positions and contribute with goals could prove crucial.
With Trossard’s flexibility and willingness to play wherever needed, Arteta has options to rotate his attacking lineup and keep opponents guessing. The Belgian’s understanding of his role in relation to his teammates, such as Bukayo Saka on the right side, further highlights his tactical awareness and commitment to the team’s success.
As Arsenal fans eagerly anticipate further developments in the transfer window, they can take comfort in knowing that Trossard’s versatility and goal-scoring prowess will continue to be an asset for the team’s title aspirations.
