Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has identified Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins as a major threat ahead of their upcoming Premier League clash this weekend. The Gunners are currently sitting at the top of the Premier League table with 36 points after 15 league games, and Arteta is well aware of the challenges that lie ahead as they prepare to face Aston Villa at Villa Park on 9th December, 2023.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Arteta praised Watkins, describing him as “tremendously consistent over the last few years” and a “real threat” in the Premier League. The Arsenal manager believes that Watkins is an under-rated player in the league and will pose a significant challenge for his team.

Arsenal’s recent game against Luton Town ended in a thrilling 4-3 victory for the Gunners, showcasing their attacking prowess. However, Arteta knows that they will need to be defensively solid against a dangerous Aston Villa side led by Watkins.

As Arsenal look to maintain their position at the top of the table, Arteta will be relying on his players to nullify Watkins’ threat while also capitalizing on their own attacking opportunities. With both teams aiming for three points in this crucial fixture, it promises to be an exciting encounter between two top-flight teams.
