Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has sent a message to Arsenal fans after their draw with PSV. Nketiah posted on X formerly Twitter the following; “1st UCL goal, looking forward to the knockout rounds!” This comes after Arsenal finished their UEFA Champions League group stage matches with a 1-1 draw with PSV.

The match saw both teams play out an evenly contested game, with PSV creating a lot of chances in the first half. However, it was Arsenal who took the lead through Nketiah, who scored his first goal in the competition. The young striker picked out the bottom corner after Elneny hit the woodwork.

PSV came out strong in the second half, with Vertessen pulling them level with a low shot across goal. Gabriel thought he had won it for Arsenal late on, but his goal was ruled offside. The game ended in a 1-1 draw, with both teams’ Champions League fate already secure.

Arsenal are currently in 2nd position on the Premier League table with 36 points in this 2023/24 campaign after 16 league games. Their next game will be up against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, 17th December, 2023.

Nketiah’s message to Arsenal fans shows his excitement for the knockout rounds of the Champions League. It also reflects his determination and confidence as he looks forward to making an impact in future games. With his first UCL goal under his belt, Nketiah will be hoping to continue his scoring form and help Arsenal progress further in the competition.
