Martin Odegaard reveals the real reason why Arsenal lost to Aston Villa
Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard has opened up on the real reason why they lost to Aston Villa on Saturday evening.

Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard has opened up on the reasons that might have led to their defeat against Aston Villa on Saturday. The Gunners are currently in 2nd position on the Premier League table with 36 points in this 2023/24 campaign after 16 league games. Their recent game was a Premier League match against Aston Villa at the Villa Park, which ended one nil in favor of The Villains.
Odegaard expressed his frustration with the result, stating via Arsenal’s official website, “I think we didn’t deserve to lose this game, but at the same time, we could have done better. Especially in front of the goals. We gave them an easy goal and we were a bit sloppy in front of goal as well, so it’s annoying and frustrating.”
Despite the setback, Odegaard emphasized the need for Arsenal to bounce back quickly. He said, “We have to look to the next one. The games are coming so quickly now so it’s no time to feel sorry for ourselves. We have to get back to working hard to improve and bounce back in the next game, and that’s what we’re going to do now.”
Arsenal’s next game will be up against PSV in the UEFA Champions League at Philips Stadion on 12th December, 2023. The team will be looking to put their defeat against Aston Villa behind them and focus on securing a positive result in Europe’s elite competition.
