Arsenal star reveals how they train nowadays due to being in the Premier League title race
Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe has provided insights into the intense training regime the team has adopted, attributing the heightened focus to their position in the Premier League title race. Smith Rowe acknowledged the increased intensity in training over the past few months, emphasizing the necessity of constant improvement and the demanding expectations set by the manager.
“Yeah, training is really intense actually. I think it’s got to be like that to keep pushing every day and to keep improving, and the manager demands that,” shared Emile Smith Rowe with Arsenal media, highlighting the team’s commitment to pushing themselves to new heights to maintain their competitive edge.
The midfielder expressed his unwavering dedication to personal and collective improvement, regardless of the team’s favorable standing in the league. Smith Rowe stated, “It’s nice to be high up in the league, but in training you are not thinking about that – you just want to get better every day and keep improving. I love that side of it. Everybody has to prove that they can play here, so it means every session you have to be at your best. It’s a great environment to be in.”
As Arsenal currently holds the 4th position on the Premier League table with 40 points after 20 league games in the 2023/24 campaign, the team has been determined to bolster their performance through rigorous training sessions. Despite a recent setback in the third-round FA Cup game against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium, which resulted in a 2-0 loss, the Gunners are preparing for their upcoming Premier League match against Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, 20th January 2024.
Emile Smith Rowe’s testimonial sheds light on the unwavering dedication and drive within the Arsenal camp as they strive to make a lasting impact in the Premier League. The team’s relentless pursuit of excellence in training underscores their ambition to remain a formidable force in the title race, with the collective focus on continual improvement permeating every aspect of their preparation and performance.
