Gabriel Jesus reveals good reason why there’s a good feeling in the Arsenal squad
Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has expressed immense pride and excitement about the club’s current position in both the Premier League and the Champions League. Speaking to TNT Sports, Jesus highlighted the exhilarating feeling within the squad as they approach the business end of the season with two significant opportunities to secure silverware.
“It’s an amazing feeling, to arrive at this part of the season with two big chances to win something,” said Jesus. Acknowledging the intense competitiveness of both the Premier League and the Champions League, Jesus emphasized the difficulty of reaching this stage and the importance of relishing the moment.
Jesus emphasized the mental and physical challenges associated with competing at the highest level in European football. “You have to play two games – playing first & thinking you have another 90 minutes is really hard,” he explained. “After, you have to switch your mind because then you have a Premier League [match] & this is another way to think.”
With crucial fixtures on the horizon, Jesus highlighted the significance of each game, likening them to finals. “From now until the end of the season, every game is a final in both competitions, so you have to imagine that, at the moment, we play nine finals,” he remarked, underscoring the demanding nature of the upcoming schedule.
Arsenal, currently leading the Premier League table by goal difference, face Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, followed by a crucial league encounter against Manchester City. Jesus’s comments reflect the squad’s determination to maintain focus and embrace the challenges ahead as they pursue success on multiple fronts.
As Arsenal aims to secure domestic and European glory, Jesus’s words encapsulate the team’s collective mindset and readiness to navigate the complexities of elite football in pursuit of silverware.
