Arsenal make unbealivable record after beating Manchester United at Old Trafford
Arsenal have on Sunday evening defeated Manchester United on Old Trafford and have as well made an unbealivable record.
Arsenal secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford, pushing them to the top of the Premier League table and etching their names into the history books. With 27 wins this season, the Gunners have now surpassed the legendary Invincibles side of 2003/04, setting a new club record for most Premier League victories in a single campaign.
The match itself was a tense affair. While Arsenal dominated statistically, generating 1.69 expected goals to United’s 0.64, the Red Devils remained a constant threat. Leandro Trossard’s tap-in goal in the first half, expertly set up by Kai Havertz, proved to be the difference maker.
United, despite struggling to create clear-cut opportunities, fought valiantly for an equalizer. Alejandro Garnacho came close on a couple of occasions, but his final touch let him down. Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli had the best chance of the second half, but his shot was brilliantly saved by Andre Onana.
As the final whistle blew, Arsenal’s resilience shone through. They weathered the late Manchester United storm, holding onto their lead and securing a monumental victory.
With one game remaining, Arsenal sit atop the Premier League table with 86 points. Manchester City, with a game in hand, are just one point behind. The Gunners face Everton at home on the final day, knowing that a victory will guarantee them a chance at the title. The pressure is on, but this record-breaking Arsenal side has shown they have the grit and determination to fight until the very end.
