Declan Rice sends a message to Arsenal fans after losing the title to Manchester City
Arsenal lost the Premier League title to Manchester City on the last day of the league campaign and Declan Rice has sent a message to the gooners.
Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has admitted the disappointment of missing out on the Premier League title, but has vowed that the Gunners will be back stronger next season.
Reflecting on their near-miss, Rice said: “To not win it is gutting, but we can’t rely on other teams to help us out. We have to look back on ourselves and games where we dropped points. That is ultimately where we’ve lost the league, but we’ll be back.”
The former West Ham captain, who joined Arsenal in the summer, recognized that the Gunners’ failure to win the title was primarily down to their own performances, emphasizing the need for self-reflection and improvement.
Despite the disappointment, Rice remains confident in Arsenal’s potential. He said, “We’re really confident as a group and you see the manager has full control of everything. I’m sure we’ll be stronger in the summer.”
His words suggest a belief that the team’s strong foundation and Arteta’s leadership will guide Arsenal towards a successful future. With the summer transfer window approaching, Rice’s statement points to a renewed commitment from the players to address their shortcomings and return next season with the determination to claim the Premier League title.
