While Gabriel Jesus missed Arsenal’s comfortable 2-0 victory over Aston Villa, initial indications are that his injury is not serious and he is expected to be sidelined for a relatively short period.

According to Football.London, the Brazilian striker felt discomfort during training on Thursday, prompting an assessment and precautionary MRI scan. The results of the scan are expected to confirm a minor issue, with Jesus likely to miss only a handful of games.

The timing of the injury couldn’t be better for the Gunners, as it coincides with the upcoming international break. This period will provide Jesus with a valuable opportunity to recover and ensure he is back to full fitness ahead of Arsenal’s next Premier League fixture against Brighton on August 31st.

The news is a significant relief for Mikel Arteta and his team, who were understandably concerned following Jesus’ absence at Villa Park. With a busy schedule ahead, having the Brazilian striker available for the majority of the season is crucial for Arsenal’s ambitions.

The Gunners currently sit in third place in the Premier League table, having secured back-to-back victories to start the campaign. While the Brighton match poses a significant challenge, the return of Jesus in the coming weeks will undoubtedly bolster Arsenal’s attacking threat and further strengthen their position in the league table.

I just love writing and football so much ever since the 2000's when football got popular in our country. I am a self esteemed person who believes is am always right.
