Arsenal have announced their squad for the upcoming UEFA Champions League campaign, which will see a dramatic shift in format, featuring a single league phase for all 36 participating teams.

The Gunners have confirmed a strong squad, with key players including:

Goalkeepers: Raya, Neto, Setford.
Defenders: Saliba, Tierney, White, Gabriel, Timber, Kiwior, Zinchenko, Tomiyasu, Calafiori.
Midfielders: Partey, Ødegaard, Trossard, Jorginho, Merino, Havertz, Sterling, Rice.
Forwards: Saka, Jesus, Martinelli.

The 2024/25 Champions League introduces a new single league phase format, replacing the traditional group stage. All 36 participating clubs will be ranked together, competing for a spot in the top eight to automatically qualify for the round of 16.

Teams finishing 9th to 24th will compete in two-legged knockout play-offs, vying for the remaining eight places in the round of 16. Teams placed 25th or lower will be eliminated from the competition.

This new format offers increased intensity and more at stake throughout the league phase, as the rankings will determine seeding for the knockout play-offs and the round of 16 pairings. The knockout phase will continue with the familiar format of two-legged ties, culminating in the final played at a neutral venue.

Arsenal will aim to capitalize on this new format, leveraging their squad depth and experience to secure a top-eight finish and progress towards the knockout stages of the competition.
