Sterling speaks out on his new manager, Arteta after joining Arsenal this summer
Raheem Sterling has expressed his admiration for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, highlighting the Spaniard’s impressive leadership and the positive atmosphere he has cultivated at the club.
Speaking to Arsenal Media, Sterling shared his insights on Arteta, having previously worked with him during his time at Manchester City.
“He’s a top guy, a top character,” Sterling said. “I’ve been watching his journey because I spent some time with him at Manchester City, and to see him come in here and stamp his mark on this amazing football club, with this amazing history, it says a lot about him and the great job he is doing here.”
The England international was particularly impressed by the team spirit and ambition he witnessed at Arsenal, something he is eager to be a part of.
“You can see the real togetherness, the journey that the boys are on, and the hunger. The togetherness is something I’m looking to be a part of,” Sterling added.
Sterling, who joined Arsenal on loan from Chelsea on deadline day, is excited about the new challenge that awaits him at the Emirates Stadium.
“I’m really excited,” he said. “There are always challenges and this is another challenge. It’s one that I’m relishing and I’ll really go out there and do my thing.”
With his experience and attacking prowess, Sterling is expected to be a key player for Arsenal as they look to continue their strong start to the season. His first appearance for the Gunners is expected to come after the upcoming international break, potentially in the highly anticipated North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.
