Arsenal have been dealt a blow ahead of their Premier League match against Nottingham Forest as winger Leandro Trossard picked up an injury during Belgium’s 5-0 win against Israel in the Euro 2024 qualifiers last night. Trossard was substituted in the second half after appearing to be in discomfort, raising concerns over his availability for the Gunners’ upcoming fixtures.

The Belgian international has been a crucial part of Arsenal’s squad this season, contributing two goals in the Premier League so far. Known for his versatility and technical ability, Trossard’s presence on the pitch has provided Arsenal with attacking depth and creativity, often stepping up in key moments when called upon.

This injury could not have come at a worse time for Mikel Arteta’s side. Arsenal are preparing to face a Nottingham Forest team that has been in strong form, currently sitting fifth in the league table with 19 points. With Arsenal also on 19 points but trailing on goal difference, the match represents a vital opportunity to keep pace with the league leaders, Liverpool, who hold a nine-point advantage.

Trossard’s potential absence adds to the injury concerns for Arteta, who has already had to contend with a congested fixture list and a physically demanding season. If Trossard is ruled out, the Gunners may need to rely on other options such as Sterling to fill the void on the left flank.

Arsenal fans will be eagerly awaiting updates on Trossard’s condition, hoping the injury is not serious and that he can return to action soon. The Gunners’ clash with Nottingham Forest, scheduled for Saturday, November 23, at the Emirates Stadium, now presents an even greater challenge for Arteta’s side.
