Disaster for Arsenal! Four Key Stars Ruled Out Ahead of Crucial Newcastle Clash

Arsenal head into tonight’s Premier League showdown against Newcastle United with a number of key players missing due to injury. According to a report by The Standard, Mikel Arteta will be without Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Ben White for this crucial encounter at St James’ Park.
With Arsenal pushing to stay in the title race, the absence of these players could be a significant blow. However, Arteta’s squad depth will now be tested as they look to secure a vital three points against a tough Newcastle side.
Jesus and Saka Sidelined
Gabriel Jesus remains unavailable as he continues his recovery from a knee injury. The Brazilian has been dealing with fitness concerns throughout the season, and his absence leaves a gap in Arsenal’s attacking line. While Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard have stepped up in recent games, Jesus’ ability to press from the front and create opportunities will be missed.
Meanwhile, Bukayo Saka is also ruled out due to an injury. The winger has been one of Arsenal’s most influential players, providing goals, assists, and an attacking threat down the right flank. His absence means Arteta will likely turn to Ethan Nwaneri, Sterling or Leandro Trossard to fill the void.
Defensive Concerns for Arsenal
The Gunners’ defense is also facing setbacks, with both Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White missing out due to knee injuries. Tomiyasu’s versatility has been crucial for Arsenal, allowing him to cover both full-back positions when needed. His defensive solidity and ability to contribute in attack will be sorely missed.
Ben White’s absence is another major concern, as he has been a key figure in Arsenal’s backline. Whether deployed at right-back or as a center-back, White’s defensive awareness and composure on the ball have been vital for Arteta’s system. Without him, the manager will have to adjust his defensive lineup, possibly relying on Jurrien Timber or Myles Lewis-Skelly to step in.
How Arsenal Will Cope
Despite these injuries, Arsenal still have plenty of quality options in their squad. In attack, Martin Ødegaard and Gabriel Martinelli will be expected to step up.
Declan Rice and Thomas Partey will be crucial in midfield, offering defensive protection and control in possession. In defense, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães remain solid at the back, and David Raya will continue as Arsenal’s number one goalkeeper.
Arteta may also look to experiment with his lineup, potentially giving young talents like Myles Lewis-Skelly or Ethan Nwaneri a chance to impress.
A Tough Test at St James’ Park
Newcastle have turned their home ground into a fortress, making this a challenging fixture for Arsenal. Eddie Howe’s side will be eager to take advantage of Arsenal’s injury concerns, but the Gunners remain confident in their ability to secure a result.
With the title race heating up, every point matters. Despite the injury setbacks, Arsenal will be determined to leave St James’ Park with a crucial victory.
