Analysis: Should Ospina Start Ahead Of Cech In Carabao Cup Final

The gunners will be taking on Manchester City in the Carabao Cup finals on the 25th of this month.

The gunners will be taking on Manchester City in the Carabao Cup finals on the 25th of this month.

The question that is on the mind of Gooners currently is who they believe deserves to start in between the goal posts at the Wembley Stadium in the coming week because it has been a competition where David Ospina starts but that can not be taken as a reason because it is a final.

The two goalkeepers will be looking to start the match so that they get some credit to have helped Arsenal win Carabao Cup that’s if they beat Manchester City in the finals. Let’s take an overview of the performance of these two goalies.

PETR CECH

The Czech Republican international is the first choice goalkeeper for the gunners for about two seasons now but he has recently been receiving a lot of criticism with most suggesting that he has become old so that he should retire at end of this season. He has been doing mistakes in the EPL these days which has made most fans to lose trust in him.

DAVID OSPINA

The goal keeper has been playing second fiddle to Cech for a while now but he is currently backed up with many fans who are urging the manager to start the player more. He saved a penalty in the Europa League which has increased the number of fans backing him up.

Due to some factors above, David Ospina should start the final because he is good at saving penalties and there aren’t many matches that usually have penalties than finals.
