Mesut Ozil Reveals Why He Decided To Stay At Arsenal

The gunners have had one of the most tough seasons and this one has also been a tough one because it had the transfer saga of the then best Arsenal players namely Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

Sanchez finally left the North London club in the January transfer window and went to the red devils but surprisingly, German international Ozil decided to stay at the Emirates stadium amidst many reports that were saying that he no longer wants to stay at Arsenal for more years.

Ozil put to pen to a new deal to extend his deal at the Emirates stadium until 2021 in January and these fans were so happy because he is one of the most liked players in London. The 29 year old has revealed why he decided to stay at the Emirates stadium.

“I am really happy to sign here for such a big club like Arsenal. I have always said to the club that I’m happy here and now I’ve signed, I’m really happy.’ Ozil told Arsenal Player.

‘My team-mates and family have always supported me. I have a lot of goals here with the team, I want to reach those and I’m really happy.”

Mesut Ozil arrived at the Emirates stadium from Real Madrid and he has since become one of their greatest signings in the decade, he has been nicknamed the assist king by the fans.
