Arsene Wenger will be stepping down as Arsenal manager at the end of this season and the gunners want a manager appointed before the season officially closes.
Arsene Wenger will leave office of the Arsenal manager after the end of this season after he revealed that he would step down after this season.
This news still a shock too many because the French manager wasn’t thought to be a type of manager that would call it quits when his contract hasn’t expired or got fired by the club. The manager has made the news these past few weeks and most believe that he is the one who will tell the club to appoint his successor just like how Sir Alex Ferguson did by suggesting David Moyes to Manchester United.
Wenger has however said that he isn’t involved in that matter at all because it isn’t his job to find a new manager for the club.
“I am not involved in who my successor will be, that’s not my job but what I would say to him is that he should follow what he thinks is right for the club. I’ve been guided by that my whole life here.” Wenger told Arsenal’s press.
The manager is now at the Emirates Stadium where they have welcomed Burnley and this will be an emotional match for him because it’s his last home game as an Arsenal manager.
