Analysis: Two Reasons Why Arsenal Should Not Sell Petr Cech Now

There was a report today which revealed that the gunners were to sell Petr Cech this summer so we take a look at two reasons why the gunners should not let go of the Czech Republican international.

Petr Cech has one year left on his contract at the Emirates Stadium but the Czech Republican international is likely to leave the club this summer after it’s been reported that Napoli are interested in him.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno in the recent weeks but nothing has been confirmed yet but reports say that Unai Emery has put signing a goalkeeper on this transfer window’s main targets because the new manager believes he only has two old goalkeepers.

So we take a look at some reasons why Arsenal should not let go of Petr Cech in this summer transfer window.

1. Arsenal Might Not Keep David Ospina At The Club

David Ospina has played as a back up for Petr Cech for about three seasons now and the Colombian international has been at the North London club despite all the transfer rumours that come out when transfer windows open.

Ospina is also likely to finally leave the club this summer because he has failed to beat Cech to become Arsenal’s first choice goalkeeper and he is also linked with Beskitas.

2. Signing A Goalkeeper Who Turns To Become A Disaster

Foreign goalkeepers usually don’t take long to get used to the Premier League but there are some situations where a club might sign a goalkeeper who will find it hard getting used so the gunners will need to be careful on letting go of Cech quickly when they haven’t got a suitable replacement.

Arsenal new manager Unai Emery hasn’t had many interviews yet so it’s un clear what type of players he would like to bring at the Emirates Stadium this summer.
