Petr Cech To Stay At Arsenal And Sends Warning To Bernd Leno

Arsenal signed Bernd Leno a few days ago and Petr Cech says that he is ready to fight for his position at the club.

Arsenal under the new manager recently signed Germany International Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkuson for a fee around £19million.Meanwhile the gunners already having 4 players who can stand between the goal posts (Petr Cech, David Ospina, Emiliano Martinez and Matt Macey)

The first choice goalkeeper for Arsenal last season (Petr Cech) who moved from the London rival (Chelsea) three years ago has fired a warning to the new man Bernd Leno saying:

‘My contract with Arsenal still has a year to run,’ Cech told journalists in Zruc in his native Czech Republic. ‘The only thing I’m preparing for is the fight for the No.1 spot in goal. ‘Napoli were interested but my future is at Arsenal. I didn’t think of changing clubs.’

While David Ospina will be considering an exit from Arsenal after the World Cup tournament, Emiliano Martinez who spent last season on loan at Getafe will return to the Gunners pre-season training this week and the young Matt Macey still have active contract with the club.

Arsenal fans don’t know who the new manager will favour in being the first choice goalkeeper because Petr Cech was the main man for the gunners last season but since Bernd Leno is an acquisition of Unai Emery, the German goalkeeper might get more chances in the goal than Czech Republican international.
