Arsenal 4-2 Vorskla Match Report

Arsenal has got it's first UEFA Europa League win after defeating Vorskla 4-2 at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night.

It’s four wins in a row for the gunners as they beat Vorskla 4-2 at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night, Aubameyang (2), Welbeck and Mesut Ozil scored for Arsenal as they kick started their Europa League campaign with an entertaining win.

The gunners are currently in the first position on their Europa League group E table after scoring four past the Ukrainian club. The visitors however showed their courageousness and pulled two goals back in the last minutes of the match hence the gunners going six matches without a clean sheet in a row.

The match was very open in the first half with both clubs making moves but their defences were alert, the visitors however failed to breakthrough the Arsenal defence and lost the ball and the gunners made a counter attack and Aubameyang scored by shooting a neat shot past the rushing Vorskla goalkeeper. The first half ended 1-0 in favour of the gunners.

The second half started slightly different from the first half because it looked like the gunners had taken full control of the game and now oppressed the visitors who were now not getting the ball, Arsenal’s ball possession finally paid off in the 48th minute after Danny Welbeck headed home to make it 2-0 for the gunners.

The Arsenal players now felt comfortable with the ball because they were now assured of the three points but that didn’t stop them from attacking Vorskla, they got their third goal through Aubameyang who sent a strong shot past the Vorskla goalkeeper.

Unai Emery then decided to remove Lucas Torreira and Aubameyang from the game and brought in Ozil and Matteo Guendouzi. The German playmaker also showed his magic and got a couple of chances but failed to score, he later finally got one in to make it 4-0 for the gunners.

Just as the gunners thought that they had got the three points with a clean sheet, the visitors got one back in the 76th minute due to poor defending from the Arsenal team, they got their second a few minutes before the referee blew the whistle for full-time. So it’s four wins in a row for Unai Emery’s men.
