Journalist Provides Update On Lucas Torreira’s Injury

Lucas Torreira got a knock during Uruguay's match against Mexico and Ben Dinnery has revealed that the midfielder will be assessed.

Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira sustained an injury while on international duty for Uruguay in their friendly match with Mexico, it is said that he got a knock and the manager decided to substitute him at start of the second half.

Arsenal fans are concerned about the health of the Lucas Torreira because they need him in the coming weeks since he will finally get on the starting eleven after proving to Unai Emery that he is capable of holding the midfield of the gunners.

A journalist named Ben Dinnery has given an update on the injury of Lucas Torreira in a tweet, he says that the Arsenal midfielder will be assessed by the medical specialists to determine the severity of his injury.

The journalist wrote;

“Lucas Torreira will be assessed after he picked up a knock in the 4-1 friendly win over Mexico. The Arsenal midfielder was replaced at HT on Saturday and sat through the whole of the second forty-five watching from the bench with an ice pack wrapped around his left leg.”

The gunners will begin their Europa League and Carabao Cup campaigns this month and this will be a perfect opportunity for Lucas Torreira to impress Unai Emery more since he will finally play the full 90 minutes but him getting to the starting eleven will be delayed if he is ruled out for some weeks if the injury was severe.

Lucas Torreira will be hoping to recover before Arsenal’s match against Newcastle United because it’s believed that Unai Emery will finally honour the wish of Arsenal fans and include the Uruguayan international in the starting eleven.
