Unai Emery On Playing Lacazette And Aubameyang Against Newcastle

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has not given a direct reply on whether he will play both Alexandre Lacazette and Aubameyang against Newcastle United.

Arsenal has two great strikers in its record books but the new gunners boss has already made it clear that he hopes to play only one striker in the starting eleven so that the squad could be well balanced.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has chosen Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as his first choice striker this season and the Gabon international has started all of their first four Premier League matches, the Arsenal fans have however been urging the manager to be playing both Aubameyang and Lacazette at the same time because they are better while together.

Arsenal lost its first two matches against Manchester City and Chelsea with Alexandre Lacazette being introduced into the match as a substitute, it was the same case when the gunners welcomed West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium but the Frenchman this time made great impact in Arsenal’s win over the hammers because he assisted the second goal of the gunners.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery finally gave in into the pressure from the fans two weeks ago as he started both Lacazette and Aubameyang in the lineup that faced Cardiff City, the two strikers linked up well as expected because Alexandre Lacazette scored once and even assisted Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hence the gunners winning the match 3-2.

Arsenal fans believe that this should be enough for Unai Emery to be using both of the strikers because they are always strong in attack when they are together at the same time but the boss was asked about playing Lacazette and Aubameyang against Newcastle United this weekend, he replied as usual, not giving a direct answer.

“It’s the same. It’s a process to know the combination on the pitch, with different players but I need and I want to start in the level, 11 players with good performances and also, we need in the balance of players, when the team needs to work in the pitch to help the team to find the win, to stay with the performance.” the Arsenal boss told Arsenal Player.

“The reason is that I am very happy with the last two victories in the Premier League and also with the performances and I want to push every player to be okay to help the team if for one minute, 30 minutes or half time or 90 minutes.”
