Fulham 1-5 Arsenal Match Report

So Arsenal now has six consecutive wins after defeating Fulham while playing away from home.

Arsenal has defeated Fulham 5-1 in a six goal thriller. The gunners have today proved that they won’t face their last season’s woes of performing poorly when away from home, goals from Lacazette (2), Aubameyang (2) and Ramsey helped the gunners to get their ninth win in a row.

Arsenal came into this match confidently as you could see that the players weren’t afraid of Fulham even though they were playing away from the Emirates Stadium. Fulham did however surprise them as it almost scored in the opening minutes but Bernd Leno was there to stop the ball.

Few minutes later, the gunners also got some chances to score but they failed to get a breakthrough because of the excellent saves by the Fulham goalkeeper who even stopped a very powerful shot by Hector Bellerin, the spectators couldn’t believe that it didn’t go in.

The gunners finally got their first goal through Alexandre Lacazette who confidently controlled the ball after getting a cross by Nacho Monreal, the Arsenal striker stopped the ball and made a turn and scored to take the gunners into the lead. Arsenal looked comfortable after scoring the first goal but Fulham stunned them as it scored an equaliser before halftime hence the first half ending 1-1.

Most of the drama was in the second half because the gunners scored four goals in 45 minutes. Alexandre Lacazette scored Arsenal’s second goal after firing in a powerful shot which the goalkeeper failed to stop. Unai Emery later brought out Danny Welbeck and Aubameyang came in.

Aaron Ramsey also replaced Alex Iwobi minutes later and the Welshman scored a beautiful goal in less than a minute while on the pitch, that goal was just splendid because it had an incredible build up. Arsenal fans will be hoping to see more similar performances from him in the future so that the club brings back the deal they had withdrawn.

Just as everyone thought that the gunners were about to win the match 3-1, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also went on the score sheet and his goal was similar to that of Lacazette’s first goal. The Gabon international got his second goal of the day in the last minutes of the game.

So it’s nine wins in a row for Unai Emery.
