Predicted Arsenal lineup to face Liverpool: Unai Emery to make changes

The long-awaited day has finally come and supporters of Liverpool and Arsenal can’t wait for today’s exciting match. Most of the Arsenal fans will be worried about this match because Liverpool are currently on form but Unai Emery has already shown that he’s master tactician so let’s wait to see if his team will get all the three points.

Arsenal will be without Mesut Ozil according to reports but there are some players like Shkodran Mustafi that have returned ahead of the Liverpool match. So let’s take a look at the expected Arsenal lineup to face Liverpool today.

Leno, Jenkinson, Sokratis, Koscielny, Kolasinac, Torreira, Xhaka, Iwobi, Ramsey, Aubameyang, Lacazette

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Goalkeeping:

Bernd Leno is Unai Emery’s first choice goalkeeper so it won’t be a surprise if he is in the starting eleven that faces Liverpool.

Defence:

Shkodran Mustafi trained on Friday but it is still early to use him so Arsenal’s centre backs to face Liverpool will probably be Sokratis and Koscielny. Stephan Lichtsteiner underperformed against Brighton & Hove Albion so Carl Jenkinson might start as a right back against the Reds while Kolasinac will also be deployed as a left back.

Central Midfield:

Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka have been outstanding this season and will probably be paired together against Liverpool.

Attacking Midfield:

Mesut Ozil will not be taking part in this match because he’s reportedly injured and Matteo Guendouzi might not start because he has been overused in the last few weeks. So Arsenal’s attacking trio will consist of Iwobi, Ramsey and Aubameyang.

Striking:

Alexandre Lacazette scored for Arsenal the last time they faced Liverpool and he will be in the starting eleven that plays.
