BBC journalist reveals Unai Emery’s decision on Mesut Ozil’s failure to follow his tactics

Mesut Ozil has not got many chances under Unai Emery ever since he made his return from injury in Arsenal's match against Southampton a few weeks ago.

Mesut Ozil has made headlines in the last few days because the gunners lost a match when Arsenal’s boss Unai Emery had excluded him from the match day squad that faced West Ham United at the London Stadium. BBC journalist David Ornstein has confirmed that Unai Emery has advised Mesut Ozil to leave Arsenal.

The decision by the coach to leave Mesut Ozil out of the squad to face West Ham United has given birth to a lot of transfer rumours about the future of the German international because it is believed that Arsenal are unable to sign players in the January transfer window when Mesut Ozil is getting huge sums of money from the club. So Arsenal boss Unai Emery has confirmed that the club will only be able sign players on loan because the club can’t make permanent signings in this transfer window.

Some reports claim that Arsenal want to sell Mesut Ozil in this transfer window so that it can reduce on its wage bill and BBC’s journalist David Ornstein has revealed what it’s happening at the club, and says that Mesut Ozil doesn’t want to leave despite getting told to leave by Unai Emery.

“They’re not just rumours. Unai Emery has suggested to Mesut Ozil that it would be best for him to leave the club.” David Ornstein said on BBC 5 Live

“He has no desire to leave, Mesut Ozil, so he won’t be leaving in the January transfer window. I’m told he’s working extremely hard to get himself fit.” he added.
