Unai Emery reveals what happens to him after Arsenal loses

Most football club managers are always on pressure to win matches and Unai Emery has revealed what happens to him after the gunners lose.

Unai Emery was appointed as the new head coach of Arsenal in May last year and he has had some good and bad moments in his first season in England. The Arsenal coach started off poorly for him as they lost their first two matches against Manchester City and Chelsea but then later went on an unbeaten run of 22 games.

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery doesn’t usually have angry reactions on the touch-line when his team is losing but is rather seen applauding the players when they make a great move in defence or the attack. Unai Emery has also never publicly criticized his players in his press conferences, everyone looked forward to what he had to say after his team lost 5-1 vs Liverpool at the Anfield Stadium but he rather spoke generally that they were poor.

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has finally revealed how he copes up with defeats and he says that he always wants to stay positive with his players so that they don’t lose confidence but he has also said that he also needs someone around him, to comfort him after his team loses because he is basically not his self at that moment.

“Like when I push the players positively when we lose, I need a person around me to be positive for me. The first 24 hours after I lose the match I am not Unai Emery. Every time I am saying: ‘It is not good, it is not good.” said Unai Emery in an interview with Soccer AM’s Tubes.

“Usually 24 hours after, and when I watch the match again on video, is the moment I can stand up and continue to find a new ambition, and new motivation to do better.”
