Aubameyang speaks out on the booing and what they need to do to win again

Aubameyang captained the gunners as they faced Southampton on Saturday and he has spoken out on the booing and what they need to do to win again.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been Arsenal’s best player this season but he like his teammates has stopped firing in their last few matches which has seen the gunners go on a winless run of five matches in the Premier League.

Arsenal welcomed Southampton at the Emirates Stadium yesterday and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was probably hoping that he would get his first win as captain of the North London club but that still didn’t happen as the gunners were stunned by the relegation fighting side as it showed more hunger and desire to win the game and almost did if it weren’t for the late equaliser from Alexandre Lacazette.

Aubameyang alongside all the Arsenal players were clearly disappointed with the result after the final whistle was heard, and as for the supporters, they booed the performance from their team and the captain didn’t confirm whether he believes it was deserved but said that the players are disappointed as their fans.

“I don’t know [if the criticism is fair at the moment], but the team is disappointed like the fans are as well. When we are playing, we are the first to be disappointed when it doesn’t work. We will try to keep fighting. I think we have the quality to come back and we have to fight.” Aubameyang told Arsenal Media.

Arsenal started the season with two wins and then everything started falling apart after their matches against Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, and after another couple of scrappy wins and then started needlessly dropping points from winnable matches. Arsenal have drawn their last three home matches and most people believed that Emery would have found solutions in the two-week break but he didn’t. Aubameyang was asked on what needs to change for the good results to start coming but he however failed to give a direct answer.

“I don’t know. Sincerely, I don’t know. I think everybody has to try to ask themselves that, and what they can change, what they can give more of. Everybody has to do this, me first. I will try to work hard and to get back to winning ways.” said Aubameyang.
