Arsenal’s next Manager: Leading candidate emerges

It was another bad weekend for the Gunners as they succumbed to a 3-0 Home defeat to Manchester City on Sunday evening. Arsenal looked clueless and lacked a motivational drive on the day and a shout for a permanent manager is now on the table as interim boss Freddie Ljunjberg has urged the board to appoint one as soon as possible.

It is reported that Arsenal’s chiefs were spotted outside Mikel Arteta’s mansion in the wee hours of Monday morning suggesting crunch talks could have taken place and an official announcement could happen at anytime. Arsenal have to appoint a new manager before the end of the season to try and lift the club from the current crisis which could see the club missing out on a top-four finish for the fourth season in a row.

However Arteta is not the only one who has been linked to the job the likes of Carlo Ancelotti and Nuno Esperito Santo are among the names on the club’s wish list.

Arteta has admitted he wants the Gunners job

City boss Guardiola admitted he would not stop Arteta from leaving the club for a bigger role elsewhere and has tipped him for success and even as his successor.

Arsenal are currently ninth in the League and have managed to pick up only one win since Unai Emery’s departure last month and with the days commencing things will become clear as to who will take up the job.
