Lacazette speaks out on drawing with Sheffield United and their season

Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette has spoken out on how their season is panning out and on their latest draw with Sheffield United.

Arsenal have been disappointing this season and their latest 1-1 draw with Sheffield United was not that of a disappoint as they’ve continually thrown away points in this campaign. Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette who was also not been at his best in the last few weeks has spoken out on how the gunners dropped two points against Sheffield United and how the season has panned out so far.

Arsenal was hoping that getting three points against Sheffield United would give them the much-needed boost to make a push towards the Premier League top four or atleast top six since they will need to get a UEFA Europa League spot if they can’t be able to get to a Champions League spot as not being in Europe next year would hurt the club financially.

Arsenal controlled the match against Sheffield United and looked set to get all the three points with a one nil win but The Blades got back into the game thanks to a powerful strike by Fleck. Alexandre Lacazette has spoken about their draw with Sheffield United and the season.

“They were not very dangerous but this match summarises how we are this season. We are winning the match but don’t get it over the line.” Lacazette told RMC SPORT as quoted by Get French Football.

“We are quite naive at the moment. We need to be nastier and more consistent in the 90th to 93rd minutes of matches. Especially when we can do better than this. We have the players required. It is a shame.”

Arsenal bolstered their attack in the summer with the acquisition of Nicolas Pepe from Lille and were hoping that him, Lacazette and Aubameyang would be able to fire them up-to to a Premier League top four finish but things haven’t went according to plan as they are currently 10th on the Premier League table with a goal difference of -2.
