Aubameyang gives reply to Barcelona as Arsenal exit reports intensify

Aubameyang has a few months remaining on his current contract at Arsenal and he has reportedly given a go ahead to Barcelona who are interested in him.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang arrived at Arsenal in the 2018 January transfer window from Borussia Dortmund and he has become the most important player at the Emirates during the time that he has spent in England but it looks like it could come to an end as Barcelona have started to show their interest in him. The summer is just months away and current reports claim he could be ready for Barcelona move.

Aubameyang scored 30 goals in all competitions for Arsenal last season and he has already scored 17 in just the Premier League for now and it’s believed that Barcelona wanted to sign him in the winter transfer window due to Luis Suarez’s injury but the gunners were not willing to listen to any kind of offer as they will need his goals to secure a UEFA Champions League spot.

Spanish publication Sport reports that Aubameyang could still move to Barcelona in the summer since the Catalan club still wants him but they however reveal that the Arsenal captain has already been told that he might be their second option, so he would have to be on standby and wait to see if they make an offer to the North Londoners.

The same report claims that Aubameyang has already given Barcelona the green light after they met at the home of his relatives which is supposedly in a coastal town near the city of Barcelona. Arsenal’s head of football Raul Sanllehi has already confirmed that players in the final 18 months of their contracts will be sold unless they renew their deals but Aubameyang isn’t close to signing a new contract and so he might be sold in the summer transfer window.
