Bellerin reveals the three people that helped him during his recovery

Hector Bellerin spent almost a full year on the sidelines and the 25-year-old has revealed three people who helped him during his recovery.

Arsenal right back Hector Bellerin got injured in last season’s game against Chelsea at the start of 2019 and he spent the whole year on the sidelines due to that knee injury as it was a very severe, and required him to rehabilitate for many months. Hector Bellerin has opened up on the three people that helped him out during his road to recovery.

Hector Bellerin missed the rest of the 2019/20 season and was also not involved in Arsenal’s pre-season matches despite being among the squad that was doing the tours. The Spanish fullback only recently returned to competitive football in October but he however later got injured again as since he had just got come back from an injury, his body was not able to handle it since those were also intense times as then current boss Unai Emery was underpressure.

Hector Bellerin celebrated his 25th birthday on Thursday and the club released a story that he wrote about a number of things including his recovery and the three people that were very helpful to him during the rehabilitation process. Bellerin thanked his fellow teammates, Rob Holding, Kieran Tierney and Dinos Mavropanos who were with him during the rehabilitation process since they were also on the sidelines during that time.

“I’m also really grateful for the lads I had around me during my rehab. Rob Holding was like my first support.”

“He had got injured a couple of months before me, so every single thing he was going through, I could see that it would be me doing that in two months. He was the person that messaged me first, the person that offered me his advice from the beginning.” Bellerin told Arsenal Player.

“Then we also had Kieran and Dinos. They were my companions when we started our pitch work. My relationship with Kieran was really good from the start.”

“I felt we kind of knew that a lot of people were expecting us to be a full-back unit, so we always joked about that which gave us a common ground from the start that we could share without even knowing each other.”
