Arsenal’s owner Stan Kroenke reportedly ready to inject ‘millions’ into Arsenal during this pandemic

Arsenal have taken a financial hit due to the COVID-19 virus putting a stop to the season but Stan Kroenke will reportedly inject some money into the club.

Arsenal will be one of the clubs that will be hugely affected by the coronavirus pandemic as them losing most of their revenue will be a big blow since they have a huge wage bill, got knocked out of the UEFA Europa League in the first knockout games and now don’t have the matchday revenue. There is however some promising news for the North London club as current reports are claiming that the club will receive a major cash injection from their owner Stan Kroenke.

The Premier League is currently suspended and there is no confirmation on when it will finally return and Arsenal recently announced that they would continue paying their matchday staff up to the end of May and also that their executive team had accepted to take a pay cut on their salaries of the next 12 months in order to help the club.

The Daily Mail has however released a report claiming that Arsenal’s owner Stan Kroenke will be providing the North London club with a major cash injection in order to help the club pass through this global pandemic without any problems since it has already taken a massive financial hit due to the abrupt stop of the season. The report also says that the cash injection will be in millions that will be used to help out the club operate efficiently during this period but it however doesn’t confirm whether this means that the money will include some which will be used to complete transfer deals in the summer transfer window.

These reports came after many outlets confirmed that Arsenal players had agreed to have pay cuts in order to ease on the burden of the club and so the fans will be happy to see that their owners, executive team and players have decided to work together in these tough times that have a lot of uncertainty. Stan Kroenke has always been criticised by the Arsenal fans for not showing support to the club and so this has come as a big surprise.
