Arsenal Vs Chelsea: FA Cup Final Match Preview And Injury Updates

Arsenal will this Saturday face Chelsea in the Emirates FA Cup final at the Wembley Stadium and here is the match preview with the latest injury updates.

The 139th edition of the Emirates FA Cup will see Arsenal face Chelsea at the Wembley Stadium and it’s going to be an unusual final as the players will play in a place with no supporters for the first time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Arsenal will come into this game after a disappointing 2019/20 campaign as they only managed to get into the 8th position and this will be a big game for Mikel Arteta and his men as winning the FA Cup will earn them a spot in next year’s UEFA Europa League while Chelsea will be in the same situation as last season as they will face the gunners in a final when they finished the season off well in the Premier League.

The gunners despite having a poor campaign have been so good in the FA Cup as they have won all their matches to the final with none of the teams holding them to a draw to take them to the extra time, Mikel Arteta’s men surprised everyone when they defeated Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side in the semi finals but Chelsea will also be up for it since their road to the final has as well not been easy as they had to beat Liverpool and Manchester United. Arsenal lost once and drew with Chelsea in the league this season but they have however struggled against The Blues in the last five meetings as seen below.

LAST FIVE MEETINGS BETWEEN ARSENAL AND CHELSEA

Arsenal met Chelsea in the UEFA Europa League final last year and they lost the game 4-1 but they will this time come head to head with both clubs having changed managers, the gunners will be hoping to get their revenge this Saturday. Even though Arsenal have struggled against Chelsea in the league in the last decade but they have always beaten The Blues in the FA Cup as the West Londoners have only won once in eight matches. Arsenal are the most successful team in the FA Cup having won it 13 times but they will this time not only be looking to cement their record but to also get the extra money that comes with qualifying for Europe.

Arsenal will be without many players such as Martinelli, Chambers, Mari and most recently Shkodran Mustafi who got injured in the FA Cup semi final against Manchester City. Bernd Leno is a doubt for this game as he has spent many weeks on the sidelines.

Billy Gilmour will miss the match against Arsensl and N’Golo Kante is a doubt for this game.
