Arsenal face a tough test in their next six matches

Arsenal will face some tough opposition in their upcoming fixtures and will have to be at their very best to get results against these opponents.

Having started off with two out of two wins the Gunners will face tricky opposition in their next six games, four of which will come away from home.

1. Leicester City (A)

Arsenal will take on Leicester City in the fourth round of the Carabao cup (EFL cup) on Wednesday evening. A squad rotation is expected in this game and should Arsenal qualify they’d possibly face Liverpool in the next game.

2. Liverpool (A)

Arsenal will play Liverpool on Monday night at Anfield. This will be Arsenal’s first test of a big team this season as they’ll take on the defending champions. Mikel Arteta will be looking to beat Liverpool once more after a penalty victory in the community shield and a 2-1 win last season.

3. Sheffield United (H)

At the Emirates stadium with some few fans allowed back to the stadium, Arsenal will face Sheffield who proved to be a stubborn side last season. Arsenal’s only win against Sheffield came in the FA cup quarterfinals, the League matches ended in a draw and defeat.

4. Manchester City (A)

Man City have been a sharp thorn to Arsenal of late. Arsenal have only registered wins against Man City in the FA cup semifinals (2017,2020). Arsenal’s last Premier League victory over City was in 2015 the same year Arsenal last registered a Premier League victory against a big six side away from home which was also against Man City.

5. Leicester City (H)

Arteta’s side will once again face Leicester but this time in the Premier League at home next month.

6. Manchester United (A)

The Gunners have enjoyed facing Man United of late, Arteta registered a 2-0 win against them on New Years day which was his first victory.

But Arsenal haven’t won in the League at Old Trafford since 2011 and will have to work hard to end this run.

These opponents will test Arsenal’s capabilities this season Arsenal will have to be at their very best to beat them and will have to strengthen their midfield before the transfer market shut to stand a chance against these teams.
