Lyon make a statement on Houssem Aouar who is targeted by Arsenal

Arsenal are interested in Houssem Aouar and Lyon have today made a statement on the future of the French attacking midfielder.

Arsenal will be looking to sign a new attacking midfielder in this summer transfer window and they have in the last few days been heavily linked with a move for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar as he was one of the best players last season. Lyon has also made a statement on the future of Houssem Aouar who has been linked with many clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester City and Barcelona.

Houssem Aouar is one of the highly rated attacking midfielders as he has been impressive in the last two years and Arsenal are interested in him because he fits the profile that they are looking for as he is a 22 year old that is able to play in the 4-3-3 formation that Mikel Arteta wants to use this season.

Arsenal have already had their first bid of cash plus Matteo Guendouzi rejected as per reports and Lyon manager Rudi Garcia has today made a statement on the situation of Houssem Aouar in this transfer window confirming that they haven’t received any new offers for the French attacking midfielder and his teammate Dembele.

“Aouar and Dembelé?” Nobody has left yet, because with the Covid, we do not know if there will be offers like every season on the transfer window.” said Rudi Garcia as per le10sport.

It has been widely reported that Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar are a big fan of Houssem Aouar but they will however have to make a big offer to Lyon as their first bid of money plus Matteo Guendouzi was rejected as per reports from France and English reporters have said that the North Londoners will have to sell before they can afford the 22 year old.
