Arteta should be given full financial support from the Arsenal board if they don’t want to sack him

But as things stand the board aren't looking to dismiss Arteta as they appointed him and view him as a "long term project".

Arsenal’s struggles continue after another defeat which came against Manchester City in the Carabao cup. Arsenal were thumped 4-1 and eliminated from the competition.

Winless in the League since November 1 and sitting 15th on the table, Arsenal will take on London rivals Chelsea on Boxing day.

Mikel Arteta continues to be under pressure with many calls for him to leave the job citing his inexperience in management and the Arsenal job being to big for a rookie manager.

But as things stand the board aren’t looking to dismiss Arteta as they appointed him and view him as a “long term project”.

Many fans, pundits and analysts believe Arsenal wouldn’t be in this situation if they had a more experienced manager with a good track record.

This situation is not entirely Arteta’s fault and sacking him might not be the solution because Arsenal’s problems start from the leadership above Mikel Arteta.

Therefore the best thing the board can do is to give Mikel Arteta funds to build his desired Arsenal squad, if they aren’t interested in firing him.

Arteta has only purchased two marquee players for £70m in his two transfer windows; Partey (£45m) and Gabriel (£25m). The rest of the singings have been questionable and have not entirely been his desires.

The Kroenke’s should pull out their wallets for once and give Arteta an ultimatum. Give Arteta the funds he wants maybe £150-£250m, for the next two transfer windows so that he build’s the kind of ideal team he’s always envisioned.

He should be given the full responsibility of deciding which player’s he wants for his team while of course getting recommendations from the scouts, coaches and other staff.

Arteta must sell off any player he sees as not Arsenal material or who has no impact in the team. This is the only way going forward.
