Aubameyang speaks out on why Arsenal players have been continually sent off in recent games

Aubameyang has opened up on the reason why Arsenal players have been sent off in their recent Premier League matches.

Arsenal have received three red cards in their last five Premier League games and having to finish off games with only 10 men has been a tough task for Mikel Arteta as they have drawn twice and lost once in those matches . Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has opened up about what has caused these red cards since its becoming a big problem.

Arsenal’s first red card woes started in the 0-0 draw with Leeds United where their star player Nicolas Pepe got sent off by the referee due to headbutting a player and it once again happened in the recent game against Burnley as Granit Xhaka had a heated moment which saw him start holding the throat of an opponent, and he was then sent off after a VAR review of the situation.

Gabriel Magalhaes also got sent off in their game against Southampton but his was however bearable as he received a second yellow card trying to stop a quick attack from the Saints. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who ended his goal drought in the same game has come out and talked about why they’ve received a lot of red cards in a short time and he has said that he believes this has happened due to them being nervous since they are in desperate search of points.

“At the moment I think sometimes we are a bit nervous because we need points.” said Aubameyang as quoted by The Guardian.

“Maybe sometimes we do stupid things but I can understand. We have to stay cool in the head and try to be a little more intelligent in that case and try to stay with 11 on the pitch because we need it at the moment.”

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has also talked about how they will need to have disciple during games and so him and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will hope that this doesn’t happen in their next few games.
