Bellerin and Lacazette send farewell messages to Mesut Ozil after his move to Fenerbahce

Mesut Ozil was officially announced as a Fenerbahce player on Sunday after spending eight years at Arsenal and some players have started coming out to congratulate him on his new move with Hector Bellerin and Alexandre Lacazette being among them. Mesut Ozil has played with both for a long time and they posted farewell messages on their official social media channels.

Hector Bellerin broke into the Arsenal first team when Mesut Ozil had already arrived at the club and they seemed to have a great relationship on and off the pitch. Hector Bellerin who is Arsenal’s vice captain took to Twitter to send a farewell message to his departing friend Mesut Ozil, saying that it was sad that their dressing room was losing such a top player and then wished him well at his new club.

“Always hard to see top players leave our dressing room. It’s been a pleasure to share so many good memories with you. Wish you all the best Mesut Ozil!” wrote Bellerin on Twitter.

Alexandre Lacazette arrived at Arsenal in 2017 and he also quickly became a good friend of Mesut Ozil as the German international was usually seen in the group of the Frenchman and Aubameyang in the training videos and as well as on pre-season tours. Lacazette didn’t have a lot of time to link up with Ozil on the pitch in his time due to what’s happened in the last three years but he scored the last assist of Ozil at Arsenal. The Frenchman also sent a farewell message to Ozil.

“Mr Assist, it’s been a pleasure to play with you and especially to score your last assist at Arsenal. Good luck at your new club, they’re lucky to have a No10 like you.” wrote Lacazette
