How Arsenal can raise over £100m for summer transfers

How Arsenal can raise massive funds for spending in the upcoming transfer window.

The summer transfer window will give Arsenal an opportunity to reorganize and an overhaul is expected. The Gunners sit 9th on the Premier League table, 9 points behind the top four with only 10 games left.

It is safe to say that Arsenal will for a fifth consecutive season miss out on finishing among the top four, they however, have a chance of sneaking into next season’s Champions League if they can win the elusive Europa League trophy this season.

Nevertheless Arsenal are far from where they are supposed to be and will have to get back to the drawing board.

With the Covid-19 pandemic cutting off many channels of revenue and “stingy” Kroenke unwilling to inject the cash, Arsenal’s probably only way of funding transfer business will be down to clearing out unwanted players.

Selling off the deadwood and making some scarifies to get better players lets see who Arsenal can sell off;

Alex Runarsson (£1m)

No argument here, he was bought to be a back up to Leno but he hasn’t been up to the task.

Willian (£5m)

Getting £5m for a player who is soon to be 33 and hasn’t lived up to expectations wouldn’t be bad business.

Sead Kolasinac (£5m)

Arsenal need a better backup for Tierney, Schalke can have their former player permanently after losing him to Arsenal for free.

Hector Bellerin (£30m)

Bellerin hasn’t been the same player for a while now, but the Spanish defender could still bring Arsenal some good money. Barcelona and PSG have been linked with a move for him.

Matteo Guendouzi (£25m)

Guendouzi while at Arsenal,

Arteta is likely to cash in on the ill-disciplined Guendouzi, though he said he will “work hard for the shirt” if Arteta gives him a second chance.

At 21 Guendouzi has a high market value and the above figure could should even he higher.

Eddie Nketiah (£15m)

The England U21 striker has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal with the likes of Lacazette, Aubameyang and Martinelli ahead of him.

Selling him could be controversial but sacrifices have to be made.

Lucas Torreira (£25m)

Currently on loan at Atletico Madrid, Torreira had a mixed first two season at Arsenal but with the arrival of Thomas Partey, his services may no longer be needed.

Joe Willock (£15m)

May also be controversial to some but if Arsenal are to stand a chance of buying players like Martin Odegaard, players will have to be sacrificed.

There you have £121m plus an additional £50m that Arsenal will have earned from competition prizes. Other players that could also be sacrificed for new and better players; Xhaka, Elneny, Chambers, Nelson, Maitland-Niles.
