Arsenal identify new striker after uncertainty over Aubameyang and Lacazette’s futures

Arsenal have reportedly identified a new striker after the uncertainty over the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

Arsenal will probably be one of the busiest clubs in the upcoming summer transfer window as they will look to revamp their squad to continue their rebuild. The future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette at Arsenal is in doubt and it’s reported that the gunners have identified a possible replacement striker.

Arsenal hasn’t looked for a new striker in their recent summer transfer windows since Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have shown to be loyal at the club but that could however change according to a new report which claims that the gunners are now targeting a striker in the Bundesliga.

A report by The Daily Mail claims that Arsenal are interested in Borussia Monchengladbach striker Alassane Plea since the gunners are worried about the uncertainty over the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette. Aubameyang has been very poor this season in the Premier League this season and there are some rumours that he could leave the club this summer while Lacazette will soon enter the final 12 months of his contract at the Emirates Stadium and the above report claims that he is yet to decide on whether to sign a renewal.

Borussia Monchengladbach striker Alassane Plea has just one year remaining on his current contract and the report claims that his price is just £15million which would be very appropriate for the North Londoners since they may have limited funds if they don’t win the UEFA Europa League. Alassane Plea has scored 11 goals this season and he is 28 years old, so it would be interesting to see the reaction of the supporters on his signing as they’ve been urging the club to stop signing old players.
