Arsenal are reportedly ready to let go of two youngsters in this summer transfer window in their continued revamp of the squad ahead of the new season.
This summer transfer window is going to be a major revamp of the Arsenal squad as Mikel Arteta wants to cut on the number of players in his squad since they won’t compete in any European competition. The gunners always used the group stages of the UEFA Europa League as a way to give youngsters chances but since they aren’t in it, it’s now reported that Arsenal could be willing to let go of two young players.
Sky Sports reports that Arsenal will be looking to listen to offers for both Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles in this summer transfer window and that they will sell them if they receive a right offer that is suitable for them. Ainsley Maitland-Niles got sent out on loan in the January transfer window after the first six months of last season saw him get no game time and the Englishman received a lot of needed experience at West Brom Albion as he was often put in their starting elevens.
Arsenal’s young winger Reiss Nelson spent the full 2019/20 season at the Emirates Stadium but he however failed to break into the starting eleven as he even sometimes found himself not even getting into the matchday squads of Mikel Arteta hence raising speculations on whether the Spanish boss had given up on him.
It really is no surprise that Maitland-Niles and Nelson could be the ones to get sold as their positions are very stacked at the moment, and the North Londoners would be interested in getting funds from their sales as they would cost a lot since they still have two more years remaining on their contracts.
