Report: Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta reportedly ready to sell two strikers

Arsenal have been busy in this transfer window and its now reported that Mikel Arteta will be willing to sell two of their strikers.

Arsenal look to be one of the busiest Premier League clubs in this summer transfer window and its no surprise as Mikel Arteta promised the fans that the club was planning to improve the squad in this window to reduce on the gap between them, and the rest of the big boys of the league. Latest reports are now reporting that Arsenal are willing to sell two of their strikers; Alexandre and Eddie Nketiah in this transfer window.

Alexandre Lacazette has been at Arsenal since 2017 but he has however in all these years failed to win over the striking role over Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang since the Gabon international has a better scoring record than him even though he arrived six months after the Frenchman. Eddie Nketiah did not get a lot of chances last season and with the introduction of Balogun, the Englishman could have his position taken by the younger Under 23 attacker that has been promoted this summer.

Sky Sports claims that Arsenal will be willing to let go of both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah in this summer transfer window as they only have one year remaining on their current deals and there is no indication that they will be renewed. Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta said at the end of the season that they wanted to renew Lacazette’s deal but if this is true, the Spanish boss seems to have a change of mind and decided that it would be best if the Frenchman is instead sold.

Nketiah has been linked with loan deals in the past few months but it’s however not likely that he would be sent out on loan when he has one year remaining on his contract, so the club’s option would be to permanently sell him.
