Arsenal have moved a step closer to signing Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham. The Metro now reports that Abraham has agreed personal terms with Arsenal.
Earlier Sky Sports reported that Italian side Roma had reached a £34m agreement with Chelsea for the 23-year-old striker.
Abraham would like to stay in London and is holding out for a move to north London however, the Blues are reluctant to sell to a Premier League rival and would prefer he joins a foreign team.
Arsenal are also hesitant to directly fund a rival and would reportedly prefer a loan with an obligation to buy and save funds for strengthening other positions.
The ball is now in Arsenal’s court and it remains to be seen how they will convince Chelsea to sell the English striker to them.
Arsenal’s striking department appears to have issues with Aubamayang and Lacazette aging and losing their form especially the club captain.
A fee of more or less £34m should get the deal done as Abraham pushes for a move to Arsenal and Chelsea look to balance their books after spending big money on the purchase of Romelu Lukaku.
