Arsenal have finally announced the signing of Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid after many weeks of linking him with a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal made signing an attacking midfielder one of their main priorities for this summer transfer window and they then identified Martin Odegaard as the perfect candidate since he had already spent six months at the club last season. Arsenal have now completed the permanent signing of Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid and the North London club have now released an official announcement on their official social media platforms.
Arsenal said goodbye to Martin Odegaard in July after it was announced that the gunners would not be able to permanently sign him from Real Madrid as he wanted to fight for his spot at the Spanish club but things however changed in the last few weeks, as the player gave the North Londoners a sign that he would be open to a return and they then made an offer to his club which they have accepted.
It is believed that Arsenal have signed Odegaard on a fee believed to be around €40million and the gunners will be hopeful that he will now turn out to have been the missing piece in their squad since they have been criticized by most pundits for creating few chances. Odegaard scored one goal and made two assists in the Premier League last season and the fans will hope that he gets better numbers this season since he is now here permanently.
