Legend Thierry Henry reveals the people responsible for rise of current Arsenal

Arsenal have been on the rise over the last few months and legend Thierry Henry has opened up on the people responsible for this incredible feat.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has opened up about the people that have brought the Gunners back to their former glory. Henry believes that Edu, the board, and Mikel Arteta have been instrumental in restoring the connection between the team and its fans.

Henry noted that there was a disconnect between the team and its fans prior to Arteta’s appointment as manager. He said that all the fans wanted was to relate to a team that could compete, and they didn’t boo when they lost because they understood that defeats happen. However, what they didn’t understand was when they didn’t see a team that fought for every point.

“You could see there was a little little disconnection with the fans. All the fans wanted is to relate to the team, a team that can compete. They didn’t boo the team on Thursday, [defeats] happen, fans can understand that. What fans don’t understand is when they don’t see a team that fights.” said Thierry Henry as per CBS Sport.

“They don’t see themselves in a team that doesn’t represent the community. Edu, the board, Mikel Arteta, whoever, however you want to call it, brought that back.” continued Henry .

“Are we going to win the league? I don’t know. But it looks like the Arsenal I know. At the end of the day, you can’t fool fans, they scream, they’re there and they have that attitude because they see something, that’s why they’re loud. It’s a different emotion.” added Henry.

Henry believes that Edu, the board, and Arteta have been able to bring back this fighting spirit to Arsenal. He said that while it is too early to tell if Arsenal will win the league this season, it looks like the Arsenal he knows. He added that fans can’t be fooled and they can sense when something is different – which is why they are so loud in their support for the team now.

Overall, Henry believes that Edu, the board, and Arteta have been able to restore Arsenal’s connection with its fans by bringing back a fighting spirit and giving them something to believe in again. This has been crucial in bringing back some of Arsenal’s former glory.
