Leandro Trossard goes into Premier League history books after Arsenal’s win over Fulham

Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard was in the squad that travelled to Craven Cottage to face Fulham and he has now gone into Premier League history books.

Leandro Trossard, the Belgian winger who joined Arsenal in the January transfer window, has made Premier League history. In Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Fulham, Trossard became the first player to make a hat-trick of assists in the first half of an away game.

The match was a crucial one for Arsenal, who are currently in a title race with Manchester City. The Gunners went into the game at Craven Cottage knowing that they needed to win to stay on top of the Premier League table.

And they got off to a flying start, with Trossard playing a key role in their first goal. In the 21st minute, he delivered a perfect corner that was headed home by Gabriel. It was a well-worked set-piece routine that showed off Trossard’s ability to create chances for his teammates.

Just six minutes later, Trossard was at it again. This time he played a delightful through ball to Gabriel Martinelli, who finished confidently past Bernd Leno to make it 2-0.

And Trossard wasn’t done yet. In first-half stoppage time, he provided his third assist of the afternoon. This time it was Martin Odegaard who benefited from Trossard’s vision and precision passing, firing in confidently to make it 3-0.

It was an impressive performance from Trossard, who had only joined Arsenal a few months ago. The 28-year-old had previously played for Genk and Brighton before making the move to North London.

And with this latest performance, he has cemented his place in Premier League history. No player has ever made three assists in the first half of an away game before – a testament to Trossard’s creativity and vision on the pitch.

For Arsenal fans, this win over Fulham was an important one. It keeps them on top of the Premier League table with 66 points after 27 games – five points clear of Manchester City in second place.

But for Leandro Trossard, it was also a personal triumph. He may have only been at Arsenal for a few months, but he has already made his mark on English football – and set a record that may never be broken.
