Arsenal reportedly ready to sell fan favourite to sign James Maddison

Arsenal will be one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer window and a report has revealed that the gunners could axe fan favourite to sign James Maddison of Leicester City.

The Gunners are said to be interested in signing Maddison, who has been a standout performer for Leicester City this season. The 26-year-old has scored ten goals and provided nine assists in 29 Premier League appearances.

However, Arsenal may have to sacrifice one of their own promising young talents to make room for Maddison in their squad. Emile Smith Rowe haf emerged as a key player for the Gunners last season, making many appearances in all competitions and scoring a lot.

The 22-year-old had been a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing campaign for Arsenal last season but hasn’t had similar number of chances this year, and many fans still would be disappointed to see him leave the club. However, the Gunners may be willing to let him go if it means they can secure the services of Maddison as per a report by The Metro UK.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will actually go through with this plan, as they may decide that Smith Rowe is too valuable to let go. The young midfielder has showed plenty of promise last season and could develop into a top-class player in the future.

On the other hand, Maddison would be a significant upgrade for Arsenal’s midfield and could help them challenge for the title next season.

In conclusion, Arsenal could be considering a move for James Maddison this summer, but it may come at the cost of Emile Smith Rowe. The Gunners will need to weigh up the pros and cons of this potential deal and decide whether it is worth sacrificing one of their own young talents for a proven Premier League performer.
