Arsenal are currently still in the United States of America for their pre-season tour and Mikel Arteta has made one of his players to train alone.
Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun trained alone earlier today at their California base as the club prepares to face Barcelona on Wednesday, according to a report by the Daily Mail. The reason behind Balogun’s solo training session remains unclear, but it comes at a time when there is much interest surrounding the talented 22-year-old.
Balogun recently returned to Arsenal after a successful loan spell at French Ligue 1 side Reims during the 2022-23 season. The young forward made quite an impact during his time in France, scoring an impressive 21 league goals. His performances caught the attention of many, including Arsenal fans who are eager to see him in action for their beloved club.
However, despite his impressive loan spell, Balogun’s future at Arsenal remains uncertain. The Gunners have yet to decide whether they can guarantee him game time next season. This uncertainty has led to speculation and interest from other clubs who are keen on securing his services.
The decision regarding Balogun’s playing time is crucial for both the player and the club. At 22 years old, he is at a stage in his career where regular game time is essential for his development and progression as a footballer. If Arsenal cannot provide him with this opportunity, it may be in his best interest to seek opportunities elsewhere.
On the other hand, losing a promising talent like Balogun would be a blow for Arsenal. The young forward has shown immense potential and has already proven himself capable of finding the back of the net consistently. With Arsenal aiming to compete at the highest level, having players of Balogun’s caliber within their ranks could prove invaluable.
The solo training session raises questions about Balogun’s current situation at Arsenal. Is he being kept away from group training due to ongoing contract negotiations? Or is there another reason behind this decision? Only time will tell.
As Arsenal prepares to face Barcelona in their upcoming match, the focus will undoubtedly be on the team’s performance. However, the situation surrounding Balogun adds an intriguing subplot to the story. Will he feature in the match? Will his future at Arsenal be resolved soon? These are questions that fans and pundits alike will be eager to find answers to.
For now, all eyes will be on Balogun as he continues his individual training sessions. The talented forward has already proven himself on loan, and it remains to be seen whether Arsenal will provide him with the opportunity he deserves. As the speculation surrounding his future intensifies, one thing is certain – Folarin Balogun’s journey is far from over, and his next move could shape his career significantly.

Arteta's treatment leaves a bad taste on most Arsenal fans. Why is Arteta treating Balogun like this. Is he over protecting Jesus and Nkhetia? I think the answer is yes. Arteta is such an unpredictable character. Once he decides to sideline a player he does without care. Once loves a player he loves that player at the expense of the club. Tierney vs Zincheko a clear example. Arteta should know that for Arsenal to compete locally and in the Champions league he needs more his two strikers he so much love. Time will tell but I can see Arsenal regretting selling Balogun.
